These are just things I write, okay? Sometimes they're profound insights or funny stories and I'm really proud of them. Other times it's mindless rhetoric that I've since completely changed my mind about and am ashamed of. But most of the time it's just words.

Electroshock Therapy

I believe my trenchcoat has decided that I should wear it at all times, and is attempting to enforce this behavior psychologically by administering an electric shock whenever I take it off.

My coat has a removable lining, so there's a metal zipper that runs all along the edge on the inside. I have long hair. It's winter, so it's very dry out and heaters make it even dryer inside. The process of removing the coat runs its collar against about a foot and a half of hair. That, plus the charge that normally builds up in long dry hair just from walking around means that my coat and I build up a set of decently powerful opposing charges.

When I go to hang up my coat, the fingers of my left hand touch or come very near the metallic zipper where it runs along the inside lining just below the zipper.
This has been happening every day for at least two weeks now. If I manage to avoid the zipper then I get it from the wire coat hanger, or the metal closet doorknob.

Apparently my trenchcoat has forgotten that I rather enjoy a nice electric shock from time to time.
