Waiting, Composure

I am not blind, nor am I stupid. And while I may be easy, I am not desperate.

There is something remarkably refreshing about everything being entirely out of your hands. Throw the cards down, set your pieces right were you want them, and say "Your Turn." Of course, the hazard here is that your next turn never even comes. But at least you're not a pawn.

I'd rather be miserable on my own terms than someone else's.
