These are just things I write, okay? Sometimes they're profound insights or funny stories and I'm really proud of them. Other times it's mindless rhetoric that I've since completely changed my mind about and am ashamed of. But most of the time it's just words.

Stephen Lynch

Last night we went to see Stephen Lynch at our local dingy-ass comedy club. If you're not happy for me, you should be goddamnit. I've been a fan of this guy for a long time and his show was absolutely awesome. The opening comedian was actually pretty good too, but as usual the MC was completely unfunny.

Anyway, one of Stevie's (yeah, we're on a first name basis now) new songs is about being a dungeons and dragons geek. It's on the new CD and he did it at the show. Troll and I each picked up the new CD after show and got them autographed. He signed them both with "D&D rules!" and while Troll says it's obvious just by looking at us, especially me, I think he was signing everybody's CDs "[your name] - D&D rules! Stephen Lynch" as a quirky sort of thing so that when you showed your friends your autographed CD they'd call you a geek. If that's the case though, the jokes on him, because we were both like "HELL YEAH IT DOES! AWESOME!" (After getting out of the club anyway, since I for one could not read it in the dark hole which is that comedy club.)
