These are just things I write, okay? Sometimes they're profound insights or funny stories and I'm really proud of them. Other times it's mindless rhetoric that I've since completely changed my mind about and am ashamed of. But most of the time it's just words.

Do you want to help support this nonsense?

Why?

2/19/03

Overheard today:

"Good Luck."
"Hopefully I won't need luck."

If you don't find that at least mildly amusing, you're probably not thinking about it deeply enough.

Speaking of deeply enough, somebody needs to tell the war protesters that if you build a missle shaped like a vagina it just won't fly. Or, if you'd prefer: If you build your missles shaped like vaginas you're just asking to get fucked. Whichever.

That's not to say I don't agree with the peace movement, it's just that the whole missle-penis comparison is really pretty stupid and has already been done to death. Meanwhile I've gotten to see that saying things like "killing people is wrong" and "getting into a war that most of the world doesn't want you to will only breed more distrust and dislike toward our country" gets you labeled a communist pinko unamerican piece of filth. Whereas apparently saying things that amount to "it's okay to punch somebody first when they're looking at you funny" gets you chosen for president. (I can't bring myself to say "elected" in this particular case.)

If you don't see what these ramblings about war have to do with the quote the page started out with, you're probably not thinking about it deeply enough.
