No Foolin'

I waited until early this morning to pay my bills, because I really enjoy dating checks "April 1st." It saddens me a bit that accounts payable is automated pretty much everywhere now, so nobody will ever see that, and even if they did, they probably wouldn't appreciate the joke.

I'd actually had a pretty good April Fool's Day webpage joke planned this year, but the idea came months ago and it seems that once again the holiday has snuck up on me and I'm unprepared. I urge you instead to consider last year's prank and remind yourselves that it's still entirely too relevant. Also, on a not particularly funny note, try to remember that if you live in the United States, are over 18, and not a convicted felon, you have a chance to do something about that later this year. Fairly important for once. Here's a hint.
