These are just things I write, okay? Sometimes they're profound insights or funny stories and I'm really proud of them. Other times it's mindless rhetoric that I've since completely changed my mind about and am ashamed of. But most of the time it's just words.

Poop too much?

Let me begin this pointless anecdote by saying that I dislike radio. Radio stations play the same few dozen songs over and over no matter what kind of claims of variety they make. A few college or other small independant stations are better, but most only have a listening area of a mile or two so they don't do me much good. I occasionally listen to the radio when I'm driving, and that's it.

That said, I was listening to the radio on the way to work. It's a hard rock station and it was a late night show where they play up the whole we're really rocking hard and have metal and it's loud and blah blah blah. Now, this is not classic rock or oldies metal. They're playing current bands that are fairly heavy (as far as what gets radio play goes)...

Commercial Break:
1) Fibercon. A fiber supplement for irregularity advertised as a more pleasant alternative to metamucil.
2) The Navy. Okay, fine.
3) Milk of Magnesia. Advertised as a natural way to cure constipation.

Is it just me or does two bowel-related products out of three seem a bit excessive during a program whose demographic should be primarily teenagers and twenty-somethings? I mean, this is the kind of station I prefer to listen to when I absolutely must listen to the radio and I'm certainly not in the market to be comparing different brands of regularity products. I don't know, it just struck me as odd.
