These are just things I write, okay? Sometimes they're profound insights or funny stories and I'm really proud of them. Other times it's mindless rhetoric that I've since completely changed my mind about and am ashamed of. But most of the time it's just words.

Corporate Law

If any Americans out there still think we live in a democracy, I strongly recommend reading this article: Coca-Karma: The Very Secret Battle of Bob Kolody vs. Coca-Cola. It's the Don Quixote -like story of one man brave enough to stand up to one of the most powerful corporations in the world, over what has grown to a $4 billion liability. If that doesn't sound like enough of a challenge, along the way there's corrupt federal judges, mafia connections, a lawyer turned spy, a car chase, the CIA, a fire-breathing dragon, and a crusading man in a wheelchair to show us all that we can still accomplish our dreams dispite our disabilities.

Okay, I'm lying about the car chase and the dragon, but I wouldn't be surprised if we see at least one of those before this story is through. But probably the most amazing thing about this story is that no major news media has seen fit to broadcast it. How is it that a $4 Billion lawsuit against the biggest brand name in the world, in which there seems to be all sorts of fraud and corruption going on at the judicial level is deemed "not newsworthy?" Ask yourself that next time you watch a "No new developments in whatever scandal is going on this month" story.
