...In The Rain

Last night I did something I haven't done in entirely too long. No, not updating the page, smartass. Around midnight there was a storm. The kind of rain that slams your window like a jackhammer. And I was sitting here at my computer. At that realization I threw on shoes and trenchcoat, giggling as I ran down the stairs. It was beautiful. Thick globs of warm rain that soaked threw my coat in two minutes, and I was out there for more like twenty. Watching yellow-tinted lightning when I can see it between eye gouges of water. This city has terrible drainage, so the streets were rivers and I just went out for a walk. Wonderfully lovely, and I pranced around the outdoor displays of a landscaping/garden store where you could buy a $900 rock. Wow.

Not everything may be going exactly right these days, but as long as I can go dance around in a rainstorm and have someplace warm and dry to come into when I'm done, life's pretty good.
