These are just things I write, okay? Sometimes they're profound insights or funny stories and I'm really proud of them. Other times it's mindless rhetoric that I've since completely changed my mind about and am ashamed of. But most of the time it's just words.

All mediocre things must come to an end

Ye olde massive internet marketting crash has finally trickled down to those of us who weren't really making any money in the first place, it seems. I came back from my trip to the Frozen North to find an identical message from Terrashare for each day I was gone:

"This is an automatic notice. Unfortunately we had to temporarily disable your site because it was using a significant fraction of our Internet bandwidth. Because bandwidth is not free, we need to do this in order to provide good service to our other members. Don't worry, your site is still on our servers, and it will be automatically re-enabled tomorrow morning."
Some of these were as early as 3:00 AM, so I guess I should feel popular. Anyway, as this omen forebodes, my hosting service is utterly bankrupt and will be going out of business shortly. The site will be up for a few days longer, I expect. I'm already looking at new hosting alternatives. Wherever the trained monkeys and I wind up though, you'll be able to find us at www.areaology.com because the domain name will forward you to the new address, just like it forwards you to my terrashare main index now.

Since the Prognosticator Monkey Team knew that this sort of thing would happen sooner and later we've been keeping multiple redundant copies of the entire site, some of them programmed into the very genetic structure of you, the reader. So as soon as new hosting is acquired all the material that you've come to know and love- ok, are passingly familiar with and tolerate, will be back up ASAP, which is nowhere near as painful as it sounds.

Now even I don't know what I'm talking about. Hey! Don't type that you stupid monkey!
