I decided to make a party for Icewind Dale, since I'd had it sitting around for a while, but I can only remember 3 of the 6 standard character names I used to use for CRPGs back in the day : (

p : Ouch. Must be getting old.
p : Maybe you should try coming up with some new ideas, grandpa. This may be a sign.

c : no, no, there's a matter of tradition here. 3 of them are easy: Coronax, Amitla, and Shadeseeker. But the rest... how to find out?

p : "Tradition" is what old people use instead of "Thinking"
p : The other 3 were Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail.

c : bah!
and bah! I say.
c : There was a bard, a hunter/ranger, occasionally another MU or Monk. A cleric when I could get away with it.
c : if only i had my old pool of radiance disks...

p : They were Spit, Swallow, and Floss.

c : no, that's not right either...

p : Sex, Drugs, and RkNRll ?
(those old games didn't allow enough characters for names.)

c : no, no. and anyway, rocknroll was a GI Joe character.
c : this is just gonna drive me crazy...

p : Were they named Sweaty, Throbbing, and Manlove?
If they were, it really shouldn't have taken you so long to figure out you weren't straight.

c : no, i'm sure it was something more subtle than that.

p : What, like Coronax, Amitla, and Shadeseeker? Cuz you know, you're not fooling anyone with THOSE names, either.

c : feh.
well, i found an old bard's tale 3 character disk. if I had a working 1541 disk drive, I could solve this mystery.

p : Ah, to have such problems. And also be a robot. Or maybe a dinosaur.
