These are just things I write, okay? Sometimes they're profound insights or funny stories and I'm really proud of them. Other times it's mindless rhetoric that I've since completely changed my mind about and am ashamed of. But most of the time it's just words.

My Very Own Sin

First of all, Sin City: Uncut, Extended, Unrated came out today. You've had all day, so you should seriously own it by now. I'm not sure why "Unrated" was so important, because the theatrical version was so tame, right? But you must have the super awesome extended version, if for no other reason than the scene with Marv and his mom.

My own trespasses are in the shame of slacking off. Sure, I gave myself a week off after the insanity of NaNoWriMo, but then it was sort of difficult to get back in the swing of things. I also am having more of a social life these days than when I started this calendar 6 out of 7 idea, which adds pleasant layers of distraction. Then there's the question of the new year. This was originally a new year's resolution after all, and I think I've kept with it better than most resolutions survive, even with the occasional lapse. But do I really want to keep myself to the same standard for another year? Obviously I intend to keep writing, but do I want to drive myself this crazy when I've got a fulltime job that is frequently offering overtime? These questions and more, will be answered sort of haphazardly as I muddle through and find out as it goes on.
