These are just things I write, okay? Sometimes they're profound insights or funny stories and I'm really proud of them. Other times it's mindless rhetoric that I've since completely changed my mind about and am ashamed of. But most of the time it's just words.

Required Reading

Some of my more immediate writing plans for the evening were critical-fumbled when I received my signed The Order of the Stick book today! If you're not already reading The Order of the Stick you should be. Assuming you like webcomics, and D&D, and stick figures, and demon-roaches. All of which are assumptions I make freely about you, the reader of this page.

The Order of the Stick is the first actual hardcopy collection of an online comic strip that I've ever bought. There always seems to be the "Is it worth it?" question. Apart from buying a book to support a good strip, is it something worth buying, or should I just paypal the artist $5 and figure we both come out ahead on the deal? The Order of the Stick is definitely worth getting in its tasty, glossy, entirely-more-physical form. Yes, the majority of the strips are already available for free at The Order of the Stick website, but there's a ton of extra material in the The Order of the Stick book that's really, really funny. Commentary, several extra full-page strips, preface by one of the characters, etc. And if you hadn't noticed, I'm going to keep plugging The Order of the Stick until the shear repitition of it makes you laugh. Or go to The Order of the Stick, either way.
