These are just things I write, okay? Sometimes they're profound insights or funny stories and I'm really proud of them. Other times it's mindless rhetoric that I've since completely changed my mind about and am ashamed of. But most of the time it's just words.

Wait for It...

I have the temptation, naturally (literally). It's pretty much a daily thing, and honestly even that is less an estimation than a minimum. There's a request for resistance. Incentive of a form is also offered. Ironically, the incentive for resisting the temptation, while worthwhile, has a side-effect of increasing the temptation itself. The more I think about it, the worse it gets. Those two "it"s are, respectively, the incentive and the temptation itself.

This is difficult. As anyone who works at the local Best Buy knows, willpower is not one of my stronger suits. We've got impulses for a reason, I'd like to think, and it is probably not to resist them. Or at least that's a justification, which is a different ation than the ation I'm trying to ignore. Progress, right?
