Definitions

Respect: high or special regard; a relation or reference to a particular thing or situation; an act of giving particular attention

Some people thrive on the knowledge that they have everyone’s respect no matter what it takes. Those people wouldn’t know what to do if someone told them that they weren’t respected for whatever reason by even someone who didn’t matter to them. I am not one of those people. The only people I need to know that I am respected by are my friends that I would respect no matter what stupid things they chose to do. Mainly because that’s what friends are for….to be there no matter what and to still be willing to be your friend even if they don’t agree w/ something you did.

Friends: one attached to another by affection or esteem; a favored companion; one that is not hostile; one that is of the same nation, party, or group

Wow! That almost says everything I wanted to say actually. “One that is not hostile”….hmmm, makes you wonder if you should really be considering a couple of your so-called friends ‘friends’. Doesn’t it? I guess these two definitions alone helped me make up my mind on one of the pieces of the puzzle. Now wasn’t that easy enough?
