It's nice to know that my place of employment is so openminded. For instance, a lot of workplaces would think that scheduling you to come in two hours earlier would then necessitate your leaving two hours earlier, as well. Lousy conventionalists.

Another convention my employers don't seem to want much truck with is "Staying In Business." HaHa! I'm just kidding. That's a little jab at the fact that there's a plant-wide mandatory meeting tonight for everyone on all shifts and nobody knows what it's about or will tell why it's so important. I'm sure it's nothing bad though, they probably just don't want to ruin the surprise.

I bet they bought us all a puppy.
