Late Bloomer

I often feel like I am just waiting to truly blossom. Like I'm a tender bud that has not yet opened into the beautiful flower I'm destined to become. So much wonderous potential, just waiting, waiting, waiting for the right moment to delicately reveal itself to the world. It'll come someday though. I'm sure that someday my chest will split itself open, ripped from the pressure of the plagues within it and weakened from the decay that's ravaged my skin. My body will bloom in a marvelous display of reds, yellows, and greens, spilling its sweet, infectious nectar onto the ground as my lungs burst open to spread my spores into the air. The wonder of nature!
